Ukraine Introduces PARASOL Trench Radar in Two Variants to Jam Enemy Drones

Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, unveiled the new PARASOL entrenched electronic security system, developed by MixSteel and part of the Brave1 cluster

This system is designed to enhance the defensive capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces against enemy FPV drones.

The PARASOL system comes in two modifications, both of which are currently being tested and actively used by the Ukrainian military:

  1. PARASOL 01: This version is designed to protect the positions of the Defense Forces by suppressing enemy drones within a 200-meter radius.

  2. PARASOL 02: Tailored to safeguard military equipment, this variant can be mounted directly on vehicles or connected to their on-board networks, jamming enemy drones within the same range.

Key Benefits of the PARASOL System:

  • User-friendly operation, with training time estimated at 10-15 minutes.
  • Represents the first development of short-range electronic warfare (EW) systems in Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale war.

According to Fedorov, the state has already signed contracts for the purchase of these PARASOL systems. He also noted the significant growth in technological solutions for the front, with over 100 developments registered on the Brave1 platform, including 9 that have been modified to meet NATO standards.
