Today there was a meeting after Ukraine in Japan, Serhii Korsunsky and chairman of the board of directors of Hitachi Toshiaki Higashihara. On behalf of Ukraine, ambassador Korsunsky presented Toshiaki Higashihara Ukraine Peace Prize.
"Productive meeting with the chairman of the board of directors of Hitachi, Mr. Toshiaki Higashihara. I had the honour, at the request of the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine, to award him the Ukraine Peace Prize, as well as discuss the prospects for the company's participation in projects for the restoration of Ukraine, both urgent and in the long term," Serhii Korsunsky.
In 2021, Hitachi bought Global Logic. Today the corporation employs 7.600 Ukrainian programmers and engineers. Toshiaki Higashihara highly appreciated the work of our specialists and recalled that after the Russian attack on Ukraine, Hitachi left the Russian market.
Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori reiterated his readiness to support and assist Ukraine. We remind you that Japan recently handed Ukraine another batch of non-lethal military aid to Ukraine.
