SPS Progresovka is capable of generating 184 GWh of electricity per year, which is enough to supply 76,000 households and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 70,000 tons.
The lifetime of the Progresovka plant is more than 30 years. Progresovka is the fourth and most powerful solar power plant launched by Scatec in Ukraine.
In June this year, Scatec launched the 25 MW SPS Clean Energy in the Cherkasy region. In January, Scatec, together with Dutch FMO, connected a 32 MW SES in Kamenka town. Prior to that, the Norwegian company built and operates a 54 MW SES near Boguslav, Kyiv region.
"We are pleased to complete our fourth project in Ukraine, supporting the country's transition to green energy," Scatec CEO Raymond Carlsen was quoted as saying in a company statement.
