Ukraine Launches “National Cashback” Program on September 2

On September 2, Ukraine officially launched the “National Cashback” program, a government initiative designed to encourage the purchase of domestically produced goods

The program, which was approved during a government meeting on August 20, offers citizens a 10% cashback on purchases of Ukrainian goods.

Key Details of the "National Cashback" Program:

  • Cashback Benefits:

    • Citizens will receive 10% of the value of Ukrainian goods they purchase.
    • The cashback can be used for a variety of services, including medical services, utility payments, sports activities, cinema tickets, and train tickets.
    • Alternatively, cashback funds can be donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or used to purchase military bonds.
    • The maximum amount of cashback that can be earned is UAH 3,000 per month.
  • How to Participate:

    • To participate in the program, individuals need to open a special account with their bank and issue either a virtual or physical card linked to this account.
    • Participants must consent to the transfer of transaction data when making purchases using the selected cards.
    • Additionally, they must activate the "National Cashback" service in the Diya mobile application, which is the government's digital services app.

This program is part of the Ukrainian government's efforts to stimulate the local economy by promoting the purchase of domestic products, while also providing financial relief to citizens through the cashback incentives.
