On January 25, Financial Times published information about the expansion of the production of F-16 fighters from Lockheed Martin. The company plans to increase capacity in the city of Greenville, as it is expected that third countries will request fighter jets for onward transfer for the defence of Ukraine.
The re-export of fighter aircraft requires the consent of the United States government. After that, third countries can turn to Joe Biden for the purchase of F-16s for Ukraine.
Earlier, Switzerland agreed on the re-export of its weapons to Ukraine.
