Ukraine Moves Towards Green Energy

The largest Ukrainian wind farm will be built in the Kherson region for € 450 million

According to local media reports, land unsuitable for agricultural activities is used to locate the wind farm. The wind farm is going to be built on the territory of the Sivash rural territorial community on an area of 68 ha.

It is reported that by the end of the year 64 windmills with a height of 120 meters are planned to be installed there. The wind farm's capacity will be 250 MW.

The Kherson region became an active platform for the introduction of green energy in 2010 when the first projects of solar and wind energy were implemented. The construction of alternative power plants is beneficial for local communities.

The total cost of the wind park project in the Sivash community is € 450 million.

Today in the Kherson region there are seven wind and 47 solar power plants.
