The government of Ukraine adopted the draft resolution that will allow to reimbursement costs to economic entities engaged in agricultural activities

The government of Ukraine adopted the draft resolution On approval of the procedure for using funds provided in the state budget for state support to agricultural producers who use reclaimed land will allow to reimbursement costs (excluding value-added tax) to economic entities engaged in agricultural activities on agricultural lands with the use of hydraulic reclamation, carried out in the period from October 1 of the previous year to September 30 of this year. This is stated in the material AgroPolit.com.

Funds could be received in the following areas:

  • for works, purchase of materials and means for the restoration of existing and/or construction of new in-house irrigation systems (canals, pipelines of lower level, other shut-off valves) — in the amount of up to 25% of incurred costs (after these works);
  • carrying out works on construction and installation of drip irrigation systems and purchase of materials and means of drip irrigation necessary for carrying out such works — in the amount of up to 25% of incurred costs (after completion of installation works);
  • purchase of machinery, mechanisms, and equipment of domestic production for technological operations in irrigated agriculture following the list of such machinery, mechanisms, and equipment approved by the Ministry of agrarian policy — in the amount of up to 25% of their value;
  • new construction and reconstruction of pumping stations, water intakes, and water control structures with storage pools inclusive — up to 50% (after completion of commissioning works).

Earlier the former deputy minister of economy Taras Vysotskyi actively lobbied distribution of this state support for manufacturers of import equipment at the expense of the budget. However, after Vysotskyi's transfer to the Ministry of agrarian policy, this initiative was stopped by the minister of agrarian policy Roman Leshchenko at the request of representatives of agricultural producers after a meeting with farmers and agricultural machinery producers.
