Ukraine Received 2 Million Doses of “Moderna” Vaccine

On July 18, UNICEF donated 2 million 40 doses of "Moderna" vaccine certified in Europe under the COVAX program

According to the Ministry of health of Ukraine, the delivered vaccines are intended for vaccination of organized teams and professional groups of previous stages.

Moderna RNA vaccines require special conditions of transportation and storage at a temperature of -25 °C to -15 °C. Storage and logistics of vaccines in compliance with the requirements of the cold chain in Ukraine is provided by USAID.

Let's remind that on July 21 in Ukraine the 5th stage of vaccination which opens opportunities to all willing citizens of any age started.

According to the press service of the state expert center of the Ministry of health of Ukraine, most Ukrainians were vaccinated with Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech) 1,443,817 vaccinations, then CoronaVac 1,265,087 vaccinations, AstraZeneca 852,620 and Covishield 499,720 doses.

In percentage terms, the situation is as follows:

  • Comirnaty – 35,5%;
  • CoronaVac – 31,15%;
  • AstraZeneca – 20,99%;
  • Covishield – 12,36%.
