Ukraine Received $890 From the IMF

On July 3, after the revision of the "Extended Fund Facility," Ukraine received the first macrotranche

On March 31, 2023, the IMF created the Extended Fund Facility for Ukraine with a budget of $15.6 billion. The program is designed for several tranches, the 1st of which is $2.7 billion, the rest in SDR 664 million (about $900 million), each accrued after revisions of Ukraine's fulfilment of obligations for April, June and December.

Ukraine has already received the 1st payment, and after the successful 2nd revision of the Extended Fund Facility as of June 29, 2023, 663.9 million SDRs or $890 million were transferred to the budget of Ukraine.

"Thanks to the funds provided, we can continue to maintain economic stability in Ukraine and ensure priority spending of the state budget," finance minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
