Ukraine Received €200 Mln From the Netherlands

Through the IMF, the state transferred funds to Ukraine to finance the expenses of the budget of Ukraine

On December 20, the Ministry of finance of Ukraine published information on the receipt of a loan tranche on preferential terms from the Netherlands in the amount of €200 million. The funds will be entirely directed to cover government spending. The funds were transferred through a specialized IMF account. 

"The Netherlands continues to provide Ukraine with both military and financial assistance. We thank the leadership and people of the Netherlands for supporting our country," minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.

Loan terms and conditions

  • The annual rate of the loan is not equal to the IMF introductory rate of charge — 3.641% per annum;
  • Loan repayment period — 10 years from the date of withdrawal;
  • The grace period for deferring loan repayment is 4.5 years.
