Latest Tranche of Support
Ukraine has received more than €4 billion in financial assistance from the European Union, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. The funds were mobilized under the Ukraine Facility mechanism and through the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) initiative, backed by revenues from frozen Russian assets.
The August 2025 inflows include:

€3+ billion – a loan from the EU under the Ukraine Facility,

~€1 billion – the EU’s contribution within the ERA initiative.
These funds will be directed to priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget.
Ukraine Facility: €50 Billion Framework
The Ukraine Facility is a flagship EU instrument for macro-financial support of Ukraine in 2024–2027, with a total of €50 billion, of which €38.27 billion is direct budget financing.

Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has already received €22.6 billion through this program.

By the end of 2025, the Ministry of Finance plans to raise an additional €12.5 billion, of which €6.5+ billion has already been transferred.
ERA Initiative: Revenues from Frozen Russian Assets
The ERA mechanism aims to channel $50 billion to Ukraine, secured by income generated from immobilized Russian state assets.

The EU’s contribution to ERA amounts to €18.1 billion ($20 billion).

So far, Ukraine has raised €9 billion from the EU under this program.
EU as Ukraine’s Key Donor
The European Union continues to play the role of Ukraine’s main donor of financial assistance.

Over the past 3.5 years, the EU has allocated €57.5 billion in support.

In just the first 8 months of 2025, Ukraine has already received €15.5 billion from EU sources.
