Ukraine Retains 20th Place in World Steel Ranking, Shows Solid Growth

Ukraine has held on to its 20th position in the global steel producers’ ranking, according to data from the World Steel Association (Worldsteel)

Over the first 11 months of this year (January–November), Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced 7.03 million tons of steel, marking a 23.14% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Pig Iron Production

Ukraine also maintained its 13th position among 40 producing countries in pig iron production. From January to November, domestic facilities produced 6.52 million tons of pig iron, reflecting a 19.79% year-on-year rise, as reported by the Ukrmetallurgprom association.

This steady uptick in both steel and pig iron output underscores the resilience and ongoing recovery of Ukraine’s metallurgical sector.
