At the upcoming UN summit, Ukraine plans to adopt a resolution that will become the basis for developing a mechanism for compensating for the damage that Russia inflicted on Ukraine by the war. This was announced by the minister of justice of Ukraine, Denys Malyska.
"We want to be compensated for all the losses Russia has inflicted on Ukraine with its aggressive war," Denys Malyska.
The damage done by Russia is much higher. However, the amount of $300 billion is the sum of the assets of the Central bank of Russia in the G7 countries. Now, these assets are frozen by sanctions, and Ukraine has requested access to them, foreign holdings of Russian state-owned enterprises, and confiscated and sanctioned property of oligarchs from the aggressor country.
As of September 5, the amount of direct damage to the infrastructure of Ukraine = is $114.5 billion. On August 10, the minimum need for restoration of destroyed assets = $188 billion.
