On May 8, a meeting was held between the president of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda and the European commissioner for budget and administration, Johannes Hahn. Both pro-European representatives take a pro-European position, where Ukraine is a European country.
"Productive meeting with European сommissioner Johannes Hahn. It's important to ensure adequate financing for European sustainable development, economic transformation and security. But the biggest priority is increasing financial support for Ukraine to withstand the Russian aggression and win the war," Gitanas Nausėda.
During the full-scale war, president Nauseda visited Ukraine twice and repeatedly spoke out against Russian terrorism.
