Lithuanian President Visited Irpin

On July 29, Gitanas Nauseda arrived in the de-occupied city of Irpin in the Kyiv region

Gitanas Nauseda continues his tour of Ukraine. Yesterday, the president arrived in Kyiv to meet with president Zelenskyy and address the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and today Nauseda went to Irpin. This infamous city is a giant testament to Russian atrocities against Ukrainians and Ukraine. Irpin was under occupation for more than a month, and from a prosperous town, it turned into a mass grave and quarters of scorched houses.

"Visited Irpin, Ukrainian city hit by heavy Russian shellings and left in ruins. Salute the determination of Ukraine to rebuild their cities, their lives, to rebuild their future and to do it now, without waiting for the end of the war. Lithuania is ready to contribute!" Gitanas Nausėda.

"The president of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda visited the Kyiv region. During the visit, he inspected the destroyed city of Irpin. Lithuania is a powerful voice of support for Ukraine, both in matters of military aid and the strengthening of sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus, as well as on the path of our country to full membership in the EU. I am grateful for the unprecedented support of the government and people of Lithuania!!" head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksii Kuleba.

We remind you that yesterday Gitanas Nausėda presented Ukrainians with the most honourable state award of the Republic of Lithuania — the Order of Vytautas the Great.
