Ukraine Won “Oscar” in the World of Books

Ukrainian publishing house won at the "The Bologna Children's Book Fair" in the category "Europe"

Ukrainian publishing house The Old Lion was the best of the year among European colleagues. The Bologna Children's Book Fair has been held annually since 2013. For 10 years, the jury has been selecting the best publishing houses on 6 continents of the world. It should be noted that winning this contest for publishers is considered one of the most prestigious achievements. Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the most influential award in publishing, which confirms the quality, modern approach, and originality of the winners. Jury members assess the progress of organizations for a year and the originality of stories and illustrations.

"It's like an Oscar, but in the world of books for children, it's like the Nobel prize, but for publishers. This is an incredible achievement, an achievement we have achieved over the past 10 years, systematically representing ourselves, Ukraine, Ukrainian authors and illustration artists in the world and on the international market of rights," wrote the press service Old Lion.
