The attack on the "Sergey Kotov," a patrol ship, led to significant damage and the eventual destruction of the vessel. The GUR detailed the casualties among the crew, reporting 7 irreversible and 6 sanitary losses. Despite this, the enemy was able to evacuate 52 crew members.
This information comes after Russian media reported drone attacks on Russian military assets during the night of March 5, leading to the sinking of the "Sergey Kotov."
The GUR confirmed these reports, stating that the ship was targeted and destroyed using Magura V5 marine drones. The attack caused extensive damage to the stern and both sides of the "Kotov."
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the intelligence service, mentioned that the attack resulted in both fatalities and injuries among the ship's crew, with at least ten ambulances dispatched to the scene.
