Ukraine’s Position at the Munich Security Conference

On February 19, a conference was held at the diplomatic platform in Munich, the main topic of which was security, economic stability, and international support for Ukraine

The annual Munich Conference brings together the political elite of the world community under one dome. For several days, essential security issues were raised at various conference venues, but the special importance of the conference is that outside the venues, world leaders have the opportunity to talk face to face.

In 2022, Ukraine performed for the first time on the main stage, and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy was announced as one of the main speakers. The president described to the audience the situation in our country, our needs, and the country's position. Ukraine has been honestly and fairly portrayed as a determined country that will defend its interests, economic strength, infrastructure development, and citizens’ living standards.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the leaders of the countries that have been supporting Ukraine in recent months, providing investments and guarantees, and speaking on the side of our state.

On the same stage, the leaders of our partner countries spoke about the importance of peace in Ukraine and the strengthening of international support for the whole of Europe and the world. Kamala Harris, the vice president,  and Anthony Blinken, US secretary of state,  Boris Johnson, the prime minister of Great Britain, chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, and minister of foreign affairs of Germany Annalena Burbock, who was in Ukraine a few days ago.

According to people close to him, the invitation of the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to Joe Biden, the president of the United States, is currently being considered and will be accepted in due course.
