According to the website of the Executive authorities of Ukraine, the Parliament plans to initiate a procedure for lowering the cost of air tickets in Ukraine. This can be achieved with the introduction of a zero VAT rate.
"Tax exemption will reduce the cost and cost of domestic flights. For their part, Ukrainians will have better access to fast and safe travel throughout the country. These legislative changes need to be made as soon as possible in order to increase the tourist flow already this summer", — noted Prime-minister Denis Shmygal.
At the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine in 2020, Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Crichli assured that the State was committed to supporting domestic airlines and would make efforts to keep current prices on airline tickets.
Also in January 2021, in an interview with "RBK-Ukraine", Criclius stated that international air transportation of Ukrainian airlines has every chance to return to the previous rhythm already in 2023. In 2020, Ukraine will regain half of the air traffic of 2019.
