Ukrainian Airline “SkyUp” Launched in Europe

Lowcoster has received all the certificates of the euro-carrier and starting its first flights across the European Union

Ukrainian orange low-cost carrier SkyUp has registered airlines in Malta and gained the possibility to provide cross-border services as a European company. SkyUp MT already has all the necessary documents for this:

  • Operator certificate (AOC);
  • Flight license (AOL);
  • Certificate of airworthiness maintenance organisation (CAMO).

The news is excellent for several reasons. First, while Ukrainian skies are closed due to the war, Ukrainian planes continue to deliver passengers to cities of dreams. And secondly, the received status of the European carrier opens up to SkyUp MT all the bonuses of the borderless space of the European Union. Currently, SkyUp MT plans to operate under wet leasing conditions, and by the end of this year to increase the fleet capacity and form a flight map.

SkyUp is known for being the first airline in the world to design comfortable uniforms for flight attendants: sneakers and pants. It is also the only Ukrainian airline that could take its aircraft abroad during the war.
