Since 2022, the State tax office received 6.721 reports on the opening, acquisition, and liquidation of Ukrainian-controlled companies abroad: 6.430 resident individuals, and 291 legal entities. Ukrainians chose to start a business in the field of:
- Trading;
- Restaurant business;
- Postal business;
- Maintenance;
- Innovative technologies, etc.
Ukrainian residents already manage their businesses in 77 countries worldwide. The most popular among businessmen were:
- Poland – 33%;
Poland remains the most attractive country to start business activities since it is the closest to Ukraine. Additionally, most of our refugees are concentrated there. Next countries, where Ukrainians launched their companies and startups:
- The UK – 15%;
- The USA – 13%;
- Cyprus – 11%;
- Estonia – 7%;
- Japan, France, Sweden, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia, Portugal, Malta, Romania and other countries.
Also, 9.881 representatives of the country became co-owners of foreign companies. This became known from reports of banks, steeply inhabiting organs, and securities traders.
The catalyst for this expansion of Ukrainian business and the emergence of Ukrainian residents in the management of foreign companies partly is the Russian invasion. Ukrainian diasporas continue to expand their activities. Also, during the war in Ukraine were registered 50.000 new entrepreneurs.
