Ukrainian Cosmodrome in the Ocean and the Constellation of Satellites

As part of the Ukrainian space program, it is planned to build a cosmodrome in the Atlantic or the Indian ocean

The Space Agency of Ukraine, particularly its head Volodymyr Taftai, announced the planned construction of a group of spacecraft. The constellation of 8 spacecraft will include high (1-2 m) and ultra-high (0.5 m) resolution satellites. The satellites will be launched in addition to the Ukrainian Sich-2-30 satellite, the first in a decade. Recall that on January 13, SpaceX's Falcon 9 launched Sich-2-30 into the Earth's orbit. The satellites will serve the purposes of Ukraine's economy and security.

"Besides, we are planning to make our spaceport based on a marine platform and launch rockets either from the Atlantic or the Indian Ocean," Taftai.

Taftai recalled Ukraine's participation in NASA's Artemis space program to explore the southern part of the Moon.

"Ukraine's participation in the Artemis program is also important, this is a lunar landing module and the development of technologies that are necessary for the lunar program," Volodymyr Taftai.
