Ukrainian Egyptologist Joined the International Archeological Group

Olha Popovich and her worldwide colleagues found a hidden corridor in one of the Cheops pyramids

Olha Popovich is an expert-egyptologist from Ivano-Frankivsk city, Ukraine. And she is the first Ukrainian in the group of archaeologists from Egypt, Germany, Italy, the USA, Mexico, and France exploring the Cheops pyramids. The researchers have already made an important discovery. As a result of the research on one of the 7 miracles of the world, scientists found a hidden corridor to the secret room that was located for centuries right near the tomb of the pharaoh. Its length is 9 m. Archaeologists discovered an unconventional space for the first time since 2016 and are now exploring it.

The archaeologist said that the team did a difficult job. According to Olha, working with a pyramid is following a ban on marking and leaving measuring tapes, unstable structures, and difficult temperature conditions inside the pyramid.
