Ukrainian wheat flour enters the Chinese market

Protocol with China defines quality, control and export rules

China will import wheat flour from Ukraine following agreements between the General Administration of Customs of the PRC and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The parties signed a protocol that sets requirements for quality, inspection and export procedures. The document establishes clear production rules, supply chain transparency and formal cooperation mechanisms.

Each shipment must be properly labeled and accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate and an international certificate for exporting non‑animal food products.

The protocol also provides for information exchange between the sides, the possibility of inspections and periodic risk review.

In practice, this confirms that Ukrainian flour meets high standards and is ready to access one of the world’s largest markets, strengthening Ukraine’s position in global agricultural trade.
