Ukrainian Grow in Grain Exports

The rye export grown 70 times compared to the last year

Ukraine has raised the volume of cereals selling overseas in 2021/22.

In early September, the collection of early crops was finished in Ukraine. 10.2 million hectares territory,  which is 100% estimated, 44.8 million tons of crops were gathered. This year's harvest is the record for the whole history of the country. 

The number one in grain yield is Odechschina, with a rate of more than 4.1 million tons. 3 million tons of cereals were ground in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions.

As of December 29, Ukraine has sold over 31 million tons of crops for export from the beginning of 2021/22, in compliance with the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine. They say this amount is 5.51 million tons or 21.14% higher than the results of the similar period in 2020/21.

 At the reporting date, the below-mentioned crops were sold overseas from Ukraine:

  • Wheat — 15.71 million tons (<3,22 million tons, 21.14% more than the same period of 2020/21);
  • Barley – 5.19 million tons (1.42 million tons, 37.60%);
  • Rye — 121.2 thousand tons ( with 119.5 thousand tons, 70.29 times);
  • Corn — 10.3 million tons (-897 thousand tons, 9.53%).

Let's recall that Ukrainian wheat and corn are practically stable in price.
