The plan of modernization of Egyptian locomotives includes the replacement of diesel engines, the installation of power and auxiliary equipment and microprocessor control systems. The director of the plant Sergei Roy reported it.
In the future, it is planned to provide service support to Egyptian locomotives by Ukrainian engineers, as well as to open the service center of the Mykolaiv diesel locomotive repair plant in Egypt. It is planned to increase the number of locomotives to 200 units.
