According to the Ukrainian Association of Agricultural Exports, in the first quarter of 2021 the export of frozen fruit and berry products generated $64 million in income. Compared to the previous year, exports rose to 11,000 tons (+7%).
There were also large profits in walnuts ($35 million), frozen fruit ($24 million), fresh pears and apples ($4 million).
According to the First Business Channel, Ukraine achieved the highest export of honey abroad in all its years of independence - 81 thousand tons. In comparison with 2019, the figure increased by 45%. The key consumers of Ukrainian honey are:
- Poland — 26%
- Germany — 19%
- US — 10%
- Belgium — 10%
- Lithuania — 6%
