“Completion of the registration process of the frequency and orbital resource for the Sich-2-30 satellite is an important step for the launch of the Ukrainian Earth remote sensing spacecraft. This will allow Ukraine, as an ITU Member State, to exercise appropriate international legal protection of its frequency assignments from possible harmful radio interference. The Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies is ready to fulfill its responsibilities within the framework of an important state project,” comments Volodymyr Korsak, director of the scientific and methodological department of the USCF.
The registration of the frequency-orbital resource for "Sich-2-30" was carried out by the Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies by order of the National Center for Control and Testing of Space Facilities. Technical experts processed the application of Ukraine and for compliance with the requirements of electromagnetic compliance with terrestrial radiocommunication services. A positive response was published on October 19 in International Frequency Information Circular No. 2957.
The satellite will be launched in December 2021. It will be launched into orbit using a rocket from SpaceX.
“This will allow Ukraine, as an ITU Member State, to implement appropriate international legal protection of its frequency assignments from possible harmful radio interference. The UCRF is ready to fulfill its responsibilities within the framework of an important state project. "
