Ukrainian Startup “LeMat” Raised $25.000 on “Kickstarter”

The investments were aimed at a desk mat with wireless charging

Ukrainian startup LeMat has completed a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, raising $25.000. The team has developed a desktop stand with wireless charging. VoRis representatives told about this to AIN.UA.

LeMat is a leather desk mat with a wireless charging area for Qi-enabled devices. The stand also has an organizer for cables and office supplies.

The LeMat retail price is $79 for 13.7 x 27 inches, and $99 for 15.7 x 31.5 inches.

According to the company’s team, the mat helps reduce clutter and organize the workspace. It is made of genuine leather, which is durable and water-repellent.

On Kickstarter, the startup managed to raise $25.000. In addition, the team completed a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, where it was supported in the amount of $27.284.

It is worth remembering that earlier the Ukrainian startup Metal Time raised $19.000 on Kickstarter, it makes metal constructors.

Kickstarter is a web page for raising funds for the implementation of creative, scientific, and industrial projects under the crowdfunding scheme (that is, voluntary donations). Kickstarter funds a variety of projects such as the creation of US independent films, comics, video games, music, and more.

Kickstarter takes 5% of the funds raised; Stripe charges an additional 3-5%. Unlike many fundraising or investment forums, Kickstarter does not claim ownership of the projects and works that they accept for publication on their website but have the right to use the received intellectual property for any purpose. However, the projects carried out on Kickstarter are preserved and available to the public. After the funding of projects is completed, the uploaded information and materials cannot be edited or removed from the site.
