Ukrainians Raised Money to Buy Access to Satellites

"Serhii Prytula Foundation" acquired satellite access for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for money collected for the purchase of "Bayraktars"

In the middle of summer, the Ukrainians, for 3 days, raised money that would have been enough to buy 4 Turkish strike operational and tactical medium-altitude uncrewed aerial vehicles. The foundation of the Ukrainian artist and businessman Serhii Prytula carried out the collection. With Ukrainian money, it was impossible to buy Bayraktar because the Turkish government was impressed by the cohesion of the Ukrainians and gave away the drones for free. Bayraktars, which Turkey has donated to the Ukrainian military, should arrive in the country by the end of the summer.

Serhii Prytula Foundation bought a satellite for the Ukrainian army. Representatives of the organization signed an agreement with the Finnish company ICEYE. According to the document, ICEYE should give the Ministry of defence of Ukraine full access to the group of SAR satellites already in orbit.

The government will receive satellite data within one year. This will help the Ukrainian military see Russian forces' movements and the occupied territories' state and plan offensive operations.
