US Officials Work to End Business Cooperation With Russia

"Keep your financial support for Moscow or keep doing business with countries that make up 50% of the world economy"

This month, US Department officials are planning an international diplomatic tour to increase pressure on states and businesses that continue to cooperate with Russia and thus sponsor the war. According to an AP NEWS journalist, officials plan to convey to those who have not yet cut off business ties with Russia, a simple message: "Keep providing material support to Moscow or continue to do business with countries that account for 50% of the world economy."

In particular, Treasury representatives Liz Rosenberg and Brian Nelson, who work in sanctions and terrorist financing, will visit Switzerland, Italy and Germany this month. Rosenberg and Nelson will meet with ministerial leaders, exchange data on those who continue to support Russia and penalties for evading international sanctions.

Earlier, Liz Rosenberg and Antony Blinken were in Kazakhstan to urge representatives of local businesses not to assist Russia with material and intelligence information, and also to recall the sacredness of "sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence."
