Financial Times published material citing anonymous US officials. According to the FT, the United States, South Korea and Bulgaria intend to cooperate to increase the supply of 155-mm shells to Ukraine. The states are also negotiating the inclusion of Japan in this agreement.
To implement the plan to support the counteroffensive, the United States intends to cooperate with other states, as well as continue to increase the production of 155-mm shells. For comparison, in February 2022 (the beginning of a full-scale war), production volumes were 14.000 shells per year, today — 24.000. Over the next 2 years, the USA can increase production to 90.000 shells by refurbishing a factory in Canada, increasing production in Texas, and, in the future, creating production and assembly lines in Arkansas, Iowa and Kansas.
