Today vice-chancellor, federal minister of economics and climate protection of Germany Robert Habeck arrived in the capital of Ukraine on an unannounced visit. The chancellor is accompanied by representatives of German private business. Topics for negotiations with representatives of the government apparatus of Ukraine will be the restoration of Ukraine after the war, as well as energy cooperation between the states.

The delegation included the president of the Federation of German industry, Siegfried Russwurm. According to Herr Russwurm, this visit is "a signal to Ukrainians that German industry is also supporting them."

Minister Habeck commented on current and future investments in Ukraine and said that venture decisions "have either already been made or should be made." This is the minister's first visit since the beginning of Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine, and the minister stressed that this visit symbolises Germany's faith "in the victory and restoration of Ukraine, that it is in Europe's interests not only to support the country in a difficult situation but also to make it an economically strong partner in the future."
