Visit of the Vice President of Switzerland to Ukraine

On October 27-29, Ignazio Cassis, Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, arrives in Ukraine

According to the press service of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the meeting will take place with the prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal and the minister of foreign affairs Dmytro Kuleba.

According to the plan, Ignazio Cassis will be in Odesa on October 27, and on October 28 he will go to Kyiv on a diplomatic visit to Dmytro Kuleba. On October 29, Ignazio Cassis and Denis Shmygal will start preparations for the Vth Conference on Reforms of Ukraine (URC2022). The conference is scheduled for July 4-5, 2022 in Lugano.

"The conference will support Ukraine's reform efforts in 2022, with an emphasis on stability and prosperity, which are also key priorities of the Swiss Foreign Policy investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/strategy-development/" rel="dofollow">Strategy for 2021-2023," the press service of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said.

Ignazio Cassis will arrive accompanied by two members of the National Council:

  • Lars Guggisberg - Member of the Finance Committee and President of its FDFA / EAER Subcommittee
  • Christine Badercher is a member of the Finance and Foreign Policy Committee.
