On November 28, Swedish foreign minister Tobias Billstrom arrived in Kyiv with his colleagues from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, and Finland. During the joint visit and talks with the minister for foreign affairs of Ukraine, Kuleba, the representative of Sweden reported on the deepening of bilateral relations. Billestrom said that his country is ready to help Ukraine in the fight against Russia. That is why the politician "delivered" to the capital of Ukraine the largest package of military assistance within the framework of bilateral cooperation. The new assistance included both arms and money.
"This is a package. This is 100 million more than all previous ones. This is a breakthrough, a very different degree of support," Billstrom said.
The minister meant first aid in the history of bilateral cooperation, which includes 270 million euros and covers the significant needs of Ukrainian soldiers on the front. Thus, Sweden will transfer the air defence system, ammunition, and vehicles, including armoured and winter equipment, to Ukraine's armed forces. Sweden directs the financial assistance to enable the Ukrainian side to acquire what it needs most for combat and protection.
Recall that some international politicians began to call for more assistance to Ukraine to confront the aggressor.
