Volodymyr and Olena Zelenskyys arrived in Poland this morning. This is the first official visit of the president and the first lady. At 11 a. m., Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Andrzej Duda, Mateusz Morawiecki and the marshal of the Sejm. Bilateral documents will be signed.
At 6 p. m., an open speech by Zelenskyy and representatives of the Polish authorities will take place in the Royal Castle. The event will be attended by Poles, including business representatives and Ukrainians who found protection in Poland after the war.
According to Marcin Pshidach, head of the office of the president of Poland for international policy, Polish businessmen aim to "talk (with Zelensky — ed.) about economic cooperation today and in the future."
"The fact that he chooses Poland as a neighbouring country, I think, shows the role we play today in international politics," Marcin Pshidach. And he is right. In international politics and in the hearts of Ukrainians.
During the full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine, Andrzej Duda and Mateusz Morawiecki visited Ukraine 4 times.
