Zelenskyy Reacted to Boris Johnson’s Resignation

The president of Ukraine quickly reacted to changes in Britain and told his opinion about changes in international relations

On 7 July, it was announced that the British prime minister had resigned. This was preceded by requests from British politicians and a scandal in the government. Boris Johnson made a worthy and volitional decision. So now, one of the most popular questions has become whether the UK will continue to support Ukraine in the war?

The British politician himself says that the United Kingdom will not change its perspective and will continue to provide support to the Ukrainian people and military. Boris Johnson remains prime minister until a new candidate is elected.

The president of Ukraine shares this opinion with the English politician and does not hide their emotions. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Boris Johnson was and remains a friend to Ukraine. Zelenskyy has already performed on CNN and gave an interview with journalist Wolf Blitzer. The president reminded us that Ukraine greatly benefited from cooperation with the British prime minister. Zelenskyy mentioned military support separately. Note that the United Kingdom is one of the countries providing the most support in countering Russian aggression.

"Friend Boris Johnson, all Ukrainians were saddened by the news of the resignation of the leader of the Conservative Party. We are sincerely grateful for the decisive and uncompromising help from the first days of the war. Special thanks for your leadership in defending the interests of Ukraine in the international arena. We have no doubt that the UK's support will be preserved. We will forever remain true friends and strong allies," Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his official channel.

"I spoke to President Zelenskyy earlier to reiterate the UK's unwavering support for Ukraine – we will supply vital defensive aid for as long as it's needed. Thank you for your friendship Volodymyr, you're a hero, everybody loves you," wrote on Twitter the most beloved minister of Ukrainians Boris Johnson.
