On October 5, Zelenskyy arrived on a court visit to Granada for the summit of the European political community. This was reported in the morning by the press service of the head of state. Attention will be paid to the navigation in the Black sea and Ukraine's needs during the war. Partners are going to pay attention to available options for the protection of the grain corridor and provide Ukraine with energy-generated equipment before the winter period.
In addition, the head of Ukraine has already met with Spain's prime minister. Zelenskyy and Pedro Sanchez discussed defence support, namely a new aid package from Spain. It is already known that Madrid is ready to provide Kyiv with equipment for protecting the sky, artillery and anti-drone systems.
"The key for us, especially before winter, is strengthening air defence, and there is already a basis for new agreements with partners. We are preparing to confirm and implement them. We are working to strengthen the existing security architecture in Europe, particularly in the regional. Ukraine has strong proposals," Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the summit of the European political community touched upon Ukraine's accession to the EU – countries under the chairmanship of Spain began negotiations on the process of Ukraine's accession to the organisation.
