Ukrainian company Energotom provided everything necessary to eliminate the damage caused by Russian soldiers during the shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. On 16 September, the enemy reportedly allowed 25 Ukrainian trucks into the occupied territory. The group of military automobiles belongs to the state atomic power generation company Energotom. The cars transported the necessary materials and diesel fuel to repair the nuclear plant. The first essential parts helped the technicians begin repairs to prevent radiation leaks.
In addition, the irreducible stock of chemical agents needed for the proper operation of the object was renewed. This operation was carried out for the first time after the Russian army seized the station. Also, Energoatom has delivered additional fuel reserves to provide operation of diesel generators in case of the station's de-energization.
On the evening of September 17, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that the Zaporizhzhia NPP is again connected to the power system of Ukraine. It is known that engineers were able to repair 1 of the 4 main power lines connecting the station to the territory of Ukraine. But three main lines remain disconnected, and Ukrainian people need electricity.
Recall that on September 6, the largest power plant in Europe was shut down, and experts prepared it for the "cold" mode.
