$1.3 Bln Rapid Financing of Ukraine From IMF

On October 13, Ukraine received funds to meet the urgent needs of the state

Prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine received $1.3 billion from the IMF as part of the Rapid financing instrument program. The funds will be used to meet the urgent needs of the country's population: the payment of pensions and social programs and strengthening the defence capability.

This is the second tranche this autumn: on September 12, Ukraine also received $1.4 billion, which was used to mitigate the consequences of a devastating war. According to the minister, Ukraine and the Fund are already negotiating a new support program for Ukraine.
