Every Ukrainian tries to help the country and the army. Ukrainians collect money in any way:
- Donations;
- Organization of concerts;
- Sale of Things.
The latter type of aid collection has become particularly relevant among all Ukrainians. People give away the unwanted thing for some amount and all or part of it is transferred to the needs of the settlers or the military. Even stars and politicians auction their things. The president of Ukraine is no exception.
On June 3, a charity auction was held at the Ukrainian house in Washington, D.C., as part of the United 24 initiative.
At the auction sold the shirt of the President of Ukraine with Ukrainian ornament. Volodymyr Zelenskyy wore it on the day of embroidery. The owner of the lot became an American law firm. She gave $100 thousand for the symbol of struggle and justice.
In addition to embroidery, the auction sold:
- T-shirts of Ukrainian footballers Artem Dovbyk and Andrii Yermolenko;
In them, the athletes played a winning match of the Ukrainian national team against the national team of Scotland, on June 1.
- Rooster-shaped pottery.
This detail repeats the rooster who survived in Borodyanka on a kitchen cabinet in a house destroyed by Russian bombs.
All the money is transferred to the account of the National bank of Ukraine. From there, money is channeled for the purchase of weapons, medical equipment, or humanitarian aid for war-affected people.
Also reminds, two winners of the Eurovision song contest, Jamala and Kalush Orchestra also held auctions in support of the Ukrainian army.
