According to Reuters, the minister of defence of Denmark, Troels Lund, shared information about government plans for another 30 Leopards of the 2nd generation and 15 units of T-72EA tanks. T-72 tanks were produced in the Soviet Union, tank also belongs to the 2nd generation. However, the model T-72EA is an upgrade from the Czech company Excalibur Army. So the tank has upgraded facilities: improved armour, digital dashboard, thermal sight with laser rangefinder, and higher engine performance.
Denmark also recently announced $600.000 in military aid to Ukraine: ammunition, infantry fighting vehicles and other military equipment would be transferred to the front line. However, it is not yet known whether the Leopard and T-72 tanks are related to this military packet.
