6-Year-Old Lost Legs After Russian Missile Attack

As of October 12, 422 children have died from Russian teracts in the Dnipro region

On the night of October 12, the Russian army shelled Grads residential buildings in the Dnipro region, the town of Nikopol. According to the head of the Dnipro regional military administration, Valentyn Reznichenko, during that night, the occupiers used Grads against Nikopol 7 times. As a result, more than 100 shells were fired at the residential infrastructure of the city. Currently, 30 high-rise buildings and private households, a gas pipeline, 2 enterprises, 2 kindergartens and a school, the premises of a charitable organization and a power line have been partially destroyed.

A 6-year-old girl and her mother were seriously wounded as a result 1 of the missile fire on a high-rise building. Both were taken to the hospital. Due to the severity of the injury, doctors had to amputate the child's legs.

"Over 1.230 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The most children were wounded in these regions: Donetsk — 407, Kharkiv — 254, Kyiv — 116, Chernihiv — 68, Luhansk — 64, Kherson — 57, Mykolaiv — 76, Zaporizhia — 68 and Dnipro — 31. These data are not final due to the impossibility of inspecting the places where active hostilities are ongoing and in the temporarily occupied territories," the office of the prosecutor general of Ukraine.
