The US Department of state has published a press release from a telephone conversation between Antony Blinken and Dmytro Kuleba. The first topic of the dialogue between the parties was Ukraine's territorial value, the state's sovereignty and the continuation of efforts aimed at protecting these values. Kuleba and Blinken discussed the "illegal and illegitimate" attempts by the Kremlin to annex Ukrainian territories, as well as the increasing atrocities committed by the Russian military against Ukrainians, including war crimes and constant human rights violations.
"The secretary reiterated president Biden's message that the United States will always honour Ukraine's internationally recognized borders and that we will continue to support Ukraine's efforts to regain control of its territory by strengthening its hand militarily and diplomatically," the US Department of state.
Anthony Blinken provided information on the new $1.1 billion US aid package under the Security Assistance Initiative. The US initiative is aimed at protecting and strengthening the security of Ukraine. Separately, the parties discussed food security. Ukraine has renewed guarantees to make every effort to provide grain to countries in need.
