On 1 September, the government of Finland decided to approve a new aid package for Ukraine. In 6 months of the war, that’s 8 shipments of arms and finance to a country suffering from Russian aggression.
"The president, based on the government’s proposal, decided that Finland would send additional military equipment to Ukraine," the Ministry of defence said in a statement.
It is not yet known which weapons will be sent to confront the aggressor. It is reported that the amount of military assistance will be €8.3 million. The terms of delivery of the military package to Ukraine are also not disclosed to secure assistance and guarantee its delivery to the destination. Earlier, Russia threatened to destroy the supply of weapons to Ukraine on the way. This is reported by the news agency Reuters. It is also stated that the government of Finland took into account the potential of its reserves and the needs of the Ukrainian state.
Finland also joined the training of Ukrainian soldiers in military skills.
