Agribusiness Invests $37 mln in the Zhytomyr Region

According to the Department of Agricultural Development and Economic Policy of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, investments in the development of the agro-industrial complex in the Zhytomyr region in 2020 amounted to $36,600 mln

In addition, $10 mln was allocated for the purchase of machinery and technological equipment, $22 mln for construction and reconstruction, $2,5 mln for the formation of the main herd, and $3 mln for other areas.

The funds were used for the reconstruction and construction of the next granaries of PSP Novoselitsa, elevators Olymp - Agro and Company USS, grain drying complex Vega Agro, as well as dairy complexes Galex-Agro, SE Dan Milk, PAF Yerchyky"and PSP Ukraine.

Today the Zhytomyr region is one of the richest regions of Ukraine in terms of agricultural potential. According to the Index of Agricultural Production, the region ranks 10th in Ukraine (97,9%).

Due to Natalia Arendachuk, director of the Department of agricultural development and economic policy, the Zhytomyr region is a unique region — the only one in the country that has all certified types of organic production: crop, livestock, beekeeping, processing, wildflowers, trading, and export.
