Director, screenwriter and cultural figure Michel Hazanavicius arrived in the capital of Ukraine tonight. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, Hazanavicius has supported our country and even donated €125.000 for the reconstruction of a children's hospital in Izium.
"Resistance, heroism, humanity, bravery, solidarity — I believe that stories about this should be told to people. These are the values that enabled your country to defeat the great and powerful Russia. We need these values, we must believe that they still exist and see that they still have value in this world," Michel Hazanavicius.
We remind you that Sean Penn has already been to Ukraine 3 times. His film about the Russian war against Ukraine, Superpower, will be shown at the German film festival.
