Another Japanese Company Curtails Its Production in Russia

Heavy transport manufacturer "Hino Motors" leaves the Russian market

A subsidiary of Toyota, the manufacturer of freight and passenger vehicles, Hino Motors, has decided not to put into operation its plant, located in the Khimki region, Moscow region. Initially, Hino Motors planned to launch its production in Russia by reorganizing local production and reliyed on a domestic buyer.

The company's press service named problems with taxes and a delay in the construction process as the official reasons for its decision. Russia's aggression against Ukraine is not a reason to stop the launch of Hino Motors production in Russia, and the company considers the sanctions against Russia to be a temporary measure.

We remind you that earlier, China abandoned its plans to produce cars on the territory of Russian factories, and Dell Technologies ultimately left the Russian market.
