On February 8, Ukraine received the director general of the European Section of the Czech foreign Ministry Jaroslav Kurfurst. The distinguished guest together with the delegation visited Dnipro and met with the mayor of the city Boris Filatov. It should be noted that in addition to the destruction Jaroslav Kurfurst could see the city in alarm. During the business meeting an air alert was activated, so important issues were discussed in a bomb shelter.
As a result of the meeting, Czechia stated its desire to help the city and the region recover from the Russian attacks. The patronage of the Dnipro and the region will include humanitarian support. The Czech government will involve its urbanists, investors, and architects in construction projects. Also, the Czech Republic consider eliminating the transportation deficit that occurred after the autumn terrorist attack – a Russian missile destroyed the nightstand of public transport on which there were buses. Therefore, the Czech Republic may become a sponsor of passenger transport to Dnipro.
"We are grateful to the Czech people for their support and willingness to help. Dnipro is ready for open and transparent cooperation with international partners," the mayor of the Ukrainian city.
Note that similarly, Estonia helped to solve the transport issue in the Kharkiv region.
