Civilian Ukrainians united to buy 2 Bayraktar UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 3 days, an amount sufficient to purchase 4 UAVs was collected.
The Baykar company, founded out that the Ukrainians raised money with their own efforts and investments to buy drones and protect their country, decided to donate the drones for free. Bayraktar's statement was posted on the company's Twitter.
"Baykar is aware that a fundraising company called People's Bayraktar has successfully raised money to purchase several Bayraktar TB2 UAVs for Ukrainians to defend their homeland. Businessmen and ordinary people have contributed — small and large — to achieve this goal within a few days. Baykar will not accept payment for TV2 and will send UAVs to the Ukrainian front free of charge. We ask instead to send the collected funds to help the people of Ukraine in the struggle. We are moved by this solidarity and determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges. Baykar prays for a just solution and lasting peace," Baykar.
